Central Baptist Church Parking Renovations, Addition, and Exterior Renovations
Pittsburgh, PA
RWA was contracted to complete an architectural study through schematic design for renovations to the aging church façade. The design concept included repairing deteriorated areas and introducing a new rain-screen cladding system to enhance durability and aesthetics. A new entry addition was proposed to better serve members arriving from the rear parking lot, incorporating an elevator and other ADA-compliant features to improve accessibility.
The parking lot was also redesigned to increase efficiency, remove an existing 14-foot retaining wall, and create a grand stairway that leads to the rear church entry—establishing a stronger focal point and a more welcoming sense of arrival. RWA provided full construction administration services for the parking lot improvements.
