Mary Queen of Peace Parish Center
Pittsburgh, PA
Rios Williams Architects (RWA) was commissioned to develop an architectural study through schematic design for a new Parish Center on Mt. Washington. Perched along Pittsburgh’s hillside, the design embraces its elevated vantage point, offering sweeping city views while creating an inviting and visible community landmark. The 5,000-square-foot program includes a social hall with kitchen, classrooms, a chapel, and supporting spaces, all organized to foster connection, reflection, and community life. A street-level plaza welcomes parishioners and visitors, while a two-story parking garage below is seamlessly integrated to support accessibility without compromising the site’s character.
